What Genjutsu does

Genjutsu is Higgsfield's video tool that starts from an existing video. In Motion Transfer, the video carries the motion and your images carry the subject: the result is your subject moving as in the video. In Object Swap, the video is kept and one element in it is replaced with the one in your images.

The four steps

  1. Step 1

    Import the motion video

Pick “Genjutsu Motion Transfer” and import the video whose motion you want, 30 seconds at most. If it is longer, Generate offers to keep 30 seconds of it on import; in the canvas, trim it first.

  2. Step 2

    Add the subject images

Add one to eight images of the character or object to animate. You can generate them first with another model in the catalogue, in the same graph.

  3. Step 3

Refine with the prompt, if needed

The prompt is optional. When you use it, it names the inputs: @image 1 for the first image, @video for the motion video.

  4. Step 4

    Pick the resolution, then run

480p, 720p or 1080p; without a choice Genjutsu renders in 720p. The cost shows before you run. Genjutsu is in the canvas and in Generate.

Ideas to use it for

Make a character dance

A filmed choreography, a generated character: it picks up the steps.

A runway walk for fashion

A filmed runway walk applied to a generated fashion model wearing the collection.

Swap a product

With Object Swap the same shot serves several products: the video stays, the object changes.

Run it as a series

The same motion on several characters, with Scale mode.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Motion Transfer and Object Swap?
Motion Transfer applies the motion of the video to the subject of your images. Object Swap keeps the video and replaces one element with the one in your images.
How long can the video be?
Thirty seconds at most. If it is longer, Generate offers to keep 30 seconds of it on import; in the canvas, trim it first.
How many images do I need?
At least one, at most eight, of the character or object to animate.
Do I need to write a prompt?
No, it is optional. When used, it names the inputs: @image 1 for an image, @video for the video.
Do I need a Higgsfield subscription?
No. Genjutsu runs on Beemm Vision and is paid in credits, on the same balance as the rest of the catalogue.
